Assembled and assayed a temperature-sensitive, variable density, biodegradable, and bioactive 3d printer filament for use in patient- specific bone reconstructive implants.

Duke University Medical Center

Clinical Shadowing, 93.5 hours

  • Attending: Dr. Malcolm DeBaun, Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon
  • Observed a multitude of surgeries, including fibular neck fracture fixation, intramedullary nailing, allograft fracture repair, and severe trauma treatment due to motorvehicle accidents. Observed OR team collaboration during challenging trauma surgeries.
